I started practicing just after my father had just passed away in 2015 and I was trying to find ways to quiet my mind and get back to taking care of myself. My cousin recommended hot yoga. It was like a 60 minute moving/breathing meditation in a Sauna… it was love at first shavasana! In 2023 I finally made the time to get my 200 YTT. I’ve been thinking about it for many years and always had reasons for it not being the right time because of life, kids, work etc. I really wanted to deepen my practice and learn something new, and with my kids getting older I decided to take a leap and make it happen. I’m so glad I did. The opportunity to guide a practice for people is so energizing.
Yoga for me means community and a chance to breath, reset, move and be well. My favorite class is the Hot 60! Even though the sequence is the same..the teacher, music, the energy in the room or how I’m feeling that day makes it unique each time.
