Kat Lloyd

Colorado native Kat Lloyd earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University. She gained extensive professional experience applying her diligent accounting and enthusiastic sales skills in banking, hospitality and tourism throughout the western United States. Upon returning home to Denver, she discovered the healing and transformative potential of her daily yoga practice. Combining resourceful determination with a sense of adventure on and off the mat, she soon earned her RYT 200 certification.

Resonating deeply with the hot series, Kat, launched her career as a full-time Hot Instructor in 2011. In addition to her dual certification in Power Vinyasa and Hot Yoga, she also completed her MBA from Regis University in 2012. The MBA came in handy for the LLC that became “Kat Lloyd Intuitive Healing”.Realizing becoming a teacher is just as important as remaining a student, she completed a 300 RYT in May 2014. With her intuitive wit and magnetic personality, she instructs with clarity and precision while bringing a fun, light-hearted energy to every class.
Kat taught and supported the opening of four yoga studios in Denver, as well worked with numerous private students. Her passion for sharing her practice with everyone is especially evident in her use of modifications and her effectiveness with beginners. She is also particularly mindful of her students' injuries and special needs. She has taught 10 teacher trainings and immersion classes for the four studios. Her favorite was doing semi-private teacher trainings with teachers already certified and wanted to learn the hot series and add to their portfolios.
She was also trained in yin yoga, realizing how closely hot yoga and yin yoga work together for balance in her work as a student to her own practice. She started being drawn toward energy work, in 2017, by taking Reiki 1 & 2, Advanced Reiki, and giving over hundreds of reiki sessions, she became a Master Reiki practitioner. She was aware of the benefit of reiki in her own life and wanted to incorporate reiki and yoga to promote people’s health and well-being. In 2019 she started to give reiki trainings, once again wanting to share her energy with those around her.
Moving to Tucson in 2021 to caregiver for her father, she found Roots Hot Yoga and fell in love. Being semi retired she teaches two classes at Roots, though she enjoys practicing equally. She enjoys giving private reiki sessions. She feels she is never completely retired because there is so much healing the world needs. In her free time, she likes to golf, swim, hike, and bike to incorporate yoga with her other physical activities.
