Hello, my name is Joseph Graves, and thanks for stopping by to read my little bio! I’ve spent pretty much my entire life in southern Arizona. Since I was 13 or 14 years old, I’ve always had an interest in fitness. I struggled with my weight when I was young, and I loved the idea of being able to transform your body through hard work and discipline. From around 13 and onward into my 20s, I had a hard time keeping weight off or maintaining any consistency in my diet or workout regimen. A big part of what caused this inconsistency was a love I developed for alcohol. I struggled with addiction and alcoholism from the age of 17 until the age of 30.
At 30, I decided to turn my life around. I wanted to change who I was and the things I had created. So, I decided to get sober. This turned out to be one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through. Around this transformative time, I founded Warfuel Kitchen, a business that specializes in healthy meal prep for people who struggle with addiction and weight loss, just like I did. Little did I know, more people than I could have imagined struggled with consistency and discipline in their diets as well! In the process of building this business, I tried all different kinds of workout programs, from CrossFit to bodybuilding, running, and hiking. I found that all forms of working out were hard but, in some weird way, enjoyable. I began to delve deeper into different training modalities and discovered yoga. Yoga spoke to me like no other workout program had before. It seemed deeper and more connected to the spiritual side of my life. I had never thought about fitness or wellness being connected to spirituality, but yoga seemed to tie the two together. I was in love and hooked! Since then, I have practiced and tried to become better at not always trying to be better. Accepting myself for who I was and where I was at that time, while never forgetting that pushing yourself is always a necessity!
I want to help others realize their potential and help them find the discipline within themselves. I want to help people learn to love themselves again. I believe that every single human is beautiful and has so much potential locked within them. I believe that if yoga calls you, it will not be easy. It will challenge you, but I promise it will give you back something priceless. So, if you’re interested, come say what’s up and let’s flow together!
