Destinee Tartt

Destinee has been practicing yoga and meditation through books and at home videos since she was 13. In 2016, a Bikram studio offering free classes to college students sparked her obsession and passion for hot yoga. While still enjoying non-heated vinyasas and yin, hot yoga is where she found a deeper understanding and connection with her mind, body, and sense of spirituality.

While serving in the USAF, yoga was the balance to a nonstop hectic work life and ever changing environments. She initially completed a 200hr YTT at Sumit’s Hot Yoga in 2020 to improve her personal practice, but surprised herself at the joy she found in teaching and holding space for others. She enjoys learning languages, traveling, and being outside with her dogs Teddy, Milly, and Bowser.

Her favorite class at Roots is the Hot 45, because the fast pace doesn’t allow a moment to overthink or judge what the physical practice looks like and instead empathizes how it feels to move with one’s breath.
